If you ever want to keep an eye on your car when a shop works on it, you can !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

The downside-you have to leave your phone in your car when it's worked on. In the past, when I've taken my car to the dealership for warranty work (sorry-I don't trust them)....

I've put my phone under a blanket in the rear of my wagon and it's worked great, i just pull up the website and I can see where my car is and where it's been.

That would be perfect....I actually have a spare phone too haha.

I don't trust dealers with my car, I can bet that when I had some work done for a low boost condition they tech took it out pretty hard...

It says you can leave a cheap android on your dog, and track it that way. I'd assume from that, and all the commercials showing people hanging onto DRAWERS FULL of old smart phones, that most people have a cheap 'droid hanging around they could leave in their car.

I don't THINK you'd need to keep that phone active for it to function as a GPS device.... wish I had one in my drawer to test out.

I always give them my home number-I tend to put my cell on mute most of the time. I know it sounds assholish, but I don't carry around a cellphone to make it easy for people to reach me, I use it to reach other people.

Typically,80% of the time-I can't answer it anyways because I am at work or driving.

With this particular app....you do have to keep it active, but you can remotely turn the app on and off through the website.

I prefer the $100 motion activated DVR with GPS. That way I can see and hear who it is abusing my baby while tracking them.
